The iconic ‘Future Sounds of Jazz’ series has reached its sixteenth volume, an extraordinary achievement considering the Munich label Compost Records’ founder and compiler Michael Reinboth pretty much unveiled the term ‘future jazz’. Four years since the last compilation, he has invited his old friend, the Frankfurt-based DJ, producer, journalist and legendary radio broadcaster, Michael Rütten, to freshen up the curation process and together they have delivered a superb collection of jazz-meets-electronica with artists such as Momoko Gill, Trinidadian Deep, Felix Laband, Emanative & Jessica Lauren and DJ Oil bringing a whole new dimension to the series.
